She's made millions from songs about her heartbreak, but is Taylor Swift regretting talking so openly about her past romances, especially those with famous young men? According to insiders yes, with the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' star sick of being the “butt of jokes” about her love life.
The star, who recently split from One Direction hunk Harry Styles, was mocked at the Golden Globe Awards last week where she was warned to stay away from Michael J. Fox's son and urged to stay single by hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. Now the jokes are wearing thin, a close pal claims it's taking a toll emotionally on the 22 year-old.
“At first Taylor just thought it was funny how much interest people had in her love life and she went along with it,” the insider told RadarOnline.
“But now she’s the butt of jokes on Saturday Night Live, in the tabloids and on the late night shows. She laughed it off, but the jokes made about her at the Golden Globes got under her skin.”
In the past Swift has dated John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas and while it was great for her career to have such intrigue over her thinly disguised attacks on her ex's in her music, now it seems she's beginning to regret being so open.
“The jokes being made about her love life embarrass her, but it’s finally hit home with Taylor,” the pal said. “She really wants to make an effort to slow down and not jump from boyfriend to boyfriend. In a weird way all the negative press has really opened her eyes and will be good for her!”

Her real worry however is said to be people thinking she's dating a storm and going through a new man every few months, not something that sits well with her squeaky clean image.
“Taylor is so concerned that the public will think she’s a w**** because she dates around, that she doesn’t put out,” they claimed. “What she doesn’t get is that the guys keep dumping her because she’s being a prude.”
Oh Taylor! Maybe have a few months lying low and no dating.
