Liberty Ross has filed for divorce from her film director husband Rupert Sanders, months after Sanders' affair with Kristen Stewart.
Actress Liberty cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split after 10 years of marriage.
Papers were filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday and 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert put his response in at the same time.
Both Liberty and Rupert are seeking joint custody of their children, son Tennyson and daughter Skyla, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The estranged British couple live Malibu, California and Rupert hit the headlines when he was spotted getting close to actress Kristen Stewart, who was dating fellow 'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson at the time.
After the scandal broke, the director issued an apology, saying: “I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them will all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
Liberty was later seen in public without her wedding ring but the couple was later spotted together with their children on Halloween last year.
The actress is yet to directly address the scandal directly but she seemingly spoke about it in a video recorded at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week last October.
She said: “I do think that this year is kind of the end of some things and the beginnings of something else. And I think that beginnings are always really exciting, and change is very important in life.”
