After 11 years of marriage, actress Ashley Judd and husband Dario Franchitti have split, with the pair ending on good terms saying that they'll 'always be a family.'
The former couple have issued a statement saying that despite their decision to go separate ways, they'll continue to cherish their relationship based on love, integrity and respect, after marrying in a private ceremony in Scotland back in 2001.
"We have mutually decided to end our marriage. We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed," a spokesperson for Judd and Franchitti said in a statement to People magazine.
Judd is best known internationally for her appearances in films such as 'De-Lovely', which she also received a Golden Globes nomination for, with other films including 'High Crimes' and 'Double Jeopardy'.

She has also devoted an increasing amount of time to her humanitarian and political interests in recent years, and represented Tennessee as a delegate at last year's Democratic National Convention.
Dario is a three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500 and four-time Indycar champion, and has raced for both Andretti Green Racing (now Andretti Autosport) and Chip Ganassi Racing.
Shortly after the news broke in the US, Judd tweeted: "Family forever. @dariofranchitti."
Franchitti later responded with a tweet of his own: "@ashleyjudd family forever."
