One Direction To Perform Blondie Comic Relief Single At 2013 BRIT Awards

One Direction have already been announced as performers at this year's BRIT Awards ceremony, but it has now been confirmed that the boyband will be singing their charity Comic Relief single at the ceremony.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' heartthrobs have recorded a cover of Blondie's One Way Or Another' as their Comic Relief single and is already available for pre-order on iTunes with the official release date on February 17, just in time for the BRITS.

Blonde member Niall Horan said: “We are really excited to be part of Red Nose Day this year. We recorded Blondie's 'One Way or Another' and we really want the song to raise lots of money and for people to show their support by going out and buying themselves a copy.”

Louis Tomlinson added: “Getting the chance to perform Blondie's song will be incredible. We're so excited! Red Nose Day is a great excuse to have a lot of fun and to raise money, please get involved.”

This year's Red Nose Day will take place on March 15 when it will be celebrating its 25th birthday. The fundraising event will broadcast on BBC One and will see the likes of Michael McIntyre, Davina McCall, Jack Whitehall, Nick Grimshaw and Jonathan Ross taking part.

The 2013 BRIT Awards will take place on February 20 at London's O2 and will also see performances from the likes of Emeli Sande, Robbie Williams, Mumford & Sons and Muse.
