Is Taylor Swift Talking About Partying With Selena Gomez In New Single '22'?

Couple to 'make fun of their exes'?

Earlier this week Taylor Swift announced that her next single following ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ will be ‘22’, and now having had a listen – we’re pretty convinced that she’s talking about partying with newly single Selena Gomez, who recently split from Justin Bieber.

The starlets are BFFs and have both have reportedly separated from their boyfriends – Harry Styles and Justin Bieber, so is it really a surprise that Taylor is singing about partying with a gal pal and laughing at their ex-boyfriends?

She sings: “It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters/And make fun of our exes, ah ah, ah ah/It feels like a perfect night for breakfast at midnight/To fall in love with strangers, ah ah, ah ah.”

Before later adding: “We're happy free confused and lonely in the best way/It's miserable and magical oh yeah/Tonight's the night when we forget about the heartbreaks, it's time uh uh.”

Selena is said to have split up with Justin after two years together, while Taylor was with her latest beau for a matter of days, but we think they could still be having a laugh together over their heartbreak.

Although Selena might have put this ‘Single Ladies’ vibe on ice, as she was spotted outside her ex-boyfriend’s home last week, and later at a gig together sparking rumours that the young couple are giving it another go.

But, Taylor needn’t worry as she has a lot to celebrate – not only is this the fourth single to be taken from her album Red, but the LP has now gone platinum in the UK. The blonde recently tweeted the news, and thanked her fans in the UK for their support.

“So I’m just minding my own business, making a sandwich before rehearsals, and I get a call that Red is platinum in the UK. I LOVE you guys,” she wrote last week.

Taylor will be hitting the stage at this weekend’s Grammys, where she is nominated in two categories, including record of the year for 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.
