Jennifer Lawrence is bracing herself for a potentially awkward reunion with ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult when the Baftas get underway in London this weekend.
The dust has barely settled since the 22-year old actress broke off her two-year relationship with British star Nick, 23, in January, but the pair will come face to face for the first time since their 'amicable split' when they both appear at the 66th British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 10).
Also appearing at the star-studded event with be Jennifer's 'Silver Linings Playbook' co-star Bradley Cooper – with whom she has been romantically linked over recent weeks.
“Organisers are trying to avoid a three-way clash on the red carpet,” a source told 3AM. “But as Jen and Brad are nominated for the same film, they will probably be seated together."
The actress started dating Nick while the pair were shooting 'X Men: First Class' in 2010, and with the sequel set to get underway later this year insiders believe their Baftas reunion might be a neccessary evil.
“But it might be a good chance for Jennifer to break the ice with Nick as well," the source added. "They're going to start filming together soon and their wounds still haven't healed."
Bradley recently dismissed rumours that he has been secretly dating Jennifer – his love interest in the Oscar nominated film – following her split from Nick, who will present an award at the ceremony tomorrow evening.
“If it didn't happen by now, it's not gonna,” he said. “I could literally be her father.”
