She's enjoyed a phenomenal year with success on both sides of the Atlantic, but even that wasn't enough to stop Rita Ora missing out on the award for Best Breakthrough Act at this year's Brit Awards.
The 22-year old 'Hot Right Now' singer was hotly tipped to claim the prize when the 33rd edition of the Brits kicked off at London's O2 on Wednesday (Feb 20) – but was left disappointed after award went to singer/songwriter Ben Howard.
“Don't worry you win some you loose some,” (sic) she later tweeted. “We still killed it this year!!”
Howard claimed the gong following a year of success with debut album 'Every Kingdom' – certified platinum following its release in 2011 – and a string of EP's.
As well as missing out on an award, Rita baffled fans by turning up for the event in an outlandish orange couture gown with frayed hems by Ulyana Sergeenko.
