Kate Middleton's Woes Get Worse As Brother's Company Gets Into Financial Difficulty

From 'plastic princess' to bikini snaps, the pregnant royal hasn't had a great February

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton hasn't exactly had a great few weeks after being labelled a “plastic princess,” and having her privacy breached while on holiday in Mustique, but it seems her woes may get worse as her brother James has been forced to turn to his parents for a handout after his cake making business when into dept.

The ambitious family, who have made millions out of their 'Party Pieces website, reportedly had to step in to rescue James' Nice Group company, which sells cakes and other confectionery, after it made a loss of £17,000 last year.

According to the MailOnline James owes creditors £32,575 with the account stating: “The bank overdraft is secured by a member of the director's family.”

According to the website, accounts show the company has stocks of £3,320 and has £5,151 owed by debtors. This won't be good news for the young entrepreneur who only set up this business last April.

The 31 year-old is known to be close to her little brother. He read at her 2011 wedding to Prince William and also accompanied the Duchess and the rest of the Middleton's on the recent holiday to Mustique, where Kate's baby bump was first photographed.

With Hilary Mantel's attack on the pregnant Duchess last week, she labelled the royal “machine made,” and a “mannequin” during a recent lecture from the twice Booker prize winner and now her brother's monetary problems, poor Kate probably feels like there are no end to her woes recently.

But she didn't show any hint of worry when she stepped out last week for her first royal engagement since announcing she was expecting. Kate looked blooming as she proudly displayed her baby bump on a visit to an Action on Addiction centre in south London, a charity of which she is patron.
