Lindsay Lohan may have been cut yet another break in the criminal justice system, as new reports state that house arrest could be an option for the star instead of going to jail, as her never-ending court case continues.
According to TMZ, the L.A Attorney have softened their position from 'lockdown rehab to 90 day house arrrest,' with mutltiple sources allegedly claiming that Mark Heller, L.Lo's lawyer, is telling prosecutors that the Mean Girls actress will accept a certain amount of house arrest.
However, the insiders continue that right now, Heller and the prosecutors are currently 'arguing over how MUCH house jail time should take place' because apparently, Lindsay is 'adamant' that she'll still not be given any punishment, the site continues.
Sources connected with the case tell TMZ that there's a 75% chance the case will go to trial on March 18. If Lindsay rolls the dice and is convicted, she faces months of actual jail time.

Meanwhile, the red headed star's attorney has also insisted that her client "doesn't have a problerm with alcohol and drugs," despite reports to the contrary.
At a court hearing last week Mark Heller told a judge that Lohan is in therapy, adding that "this is not what she needs — rehab. Lindsay doesn't have a problem with alcohol and drugs. Lindsay's issues are different," according to the LA Times.
The courtroom comment from Heller came amid an embarrassing appearance for the attorney in front of the Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney last Friday, where the New York based lawyer seemed to be told off for not knowing California law.
We wonder what will happen when the case goes to trial?
