The 'Skyfall' hitmaker surprised the fruit juice tycoon with her eye-watering demand

Adele is one of the biggest musicians on the planet right now so it's hardly surprising that the singer has demanded £100,000 per minute to sing at the wedding of a wealthy tycoon's daughter.

The 'Rolling In The Deep' hitmaker, who recently won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her James Bond theme tune, was reportedly approached by fruit juice tycoon Vivian Imerman on behalf of her daughter who is hoping for Adele to sing at her wedding which will take place at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.

While the wealthy family may be worth an eye-watering £400 million, even they must have been shocked when Adele agreed to perform – in return for an £100,000 per minute fee.

“Vivian is planning a lavish wedding,” a source told the Daily Star. “He paid Amy Winehouse thousands to perform at his eldest daughter Bianca's wedding three years ago. He hoped to do the same again with Adele.”

“But he was surprised when he was told she'd cost £2.5m. Despite his bulging bank balance even he thought it was too expensive and is looking at other artists," they added.

While she may not be singing at the plush wedding, the 24-year-old could be receiving income from other projects with reports that the singer has been approached by beauty brands such as Estee Lauder, L'Oreal and Dior to become an ambassador.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Adele is in big demand. She would only accept if the campaigns were to her taste and incorporate her.” “The last thing she wants is a cheesy ad with a naff catchphrase. They would have to be in keeping with her personality.”

“It's going to take a lot of persuasion to get her to agree but, right now, it looks as if she's close to signing a deal,” they added.

Whatever Adele decides, she'll no doubt need the extra money pronto amid reports that she is considering a move to Los Angeles in a bid to bring up her baby son in a private environment away from the paparazzi.

“Adele can see the benefits of bringing up a child in the US,” a source told The Mirror, adding: “They can be outside, enjoying the weather and loving life out of the spotlight.

“Adele and her man Simon are looking at a pad in one of the exclusive gated communities of Beverly Hills because Robbie and Ayda have told Adele that she would be able to have enough land not to feel too trapped and she could have the privacy she so desperately needs to enjoy life.”
