Speaking to the Huffington Post about the Annie Hall star, Stone claimed she was a huge inspiration: “I talk about her literally every day,”
“She’s probably a little freaked out by me, so maybe it’s a better idea not to meet her because she’s probably going to have to get some sort of restraining order at this point. I’m kidding, I promise I am no threat.”
Previously Scarlett Johansson has been one of the 77 year-old's actress of choice starring in three of his movies, Match Point, Vicky Christina Barcelona and Scoop.
Claiming the pair would grow old together Allen told Marie Claire: “I always said that I’m going to wind up like Erich von Stroheim in Sunset Boulevard.
“She was going to wind up the aged movie actress who everyone was in love with, and I was going to end up the director who once directed her, now her chauffeur.
"Anytime I have an idea, if there’s anything that she could play in it, she’s always my first option. I’d love to come up with a tremendous vehicle just for her.”
