Chris Brown confirmed at the weekend that he'd split from girlfriend Rihanna claiming he was "too young" to "wifey" someone as he celebrated his 24th birthday in Las Vegas and it seems the break up is taking it's toll on the singer as she admitted during a performance last night that love was "the most complicated s*** ever".
The Stay star was performing in Brooklyn, New York on her Diamonds world tour when she admitted she was currently confused by love, following the split.
“Anybody who thinks love is the most complicated s*** ever?” she asked the crowd before performing What Now? off her latest album Unapologetic.
“This is for us complicated ones. What the f*** now …” she added, hinting that the split had left her a little lost.
The break up ballad's lyrics perhaps give an insight into how the star is feeling, including the lines: "I found the one, he changed my life/ But was it me that changed /And he just happened to come at the right time/ I'm supposed to be in love but I'm numb again,"
and: "I've been ignoring this big lump in my throat/ I shouldn't be crying,"
The star took to Twitter earlier this week to outline just what she wants from a man, perhaps taking a shot at Chris claiming he was too young for their romance, she claimed love "wasn't for kidz" (sic).
Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain't for kidz #butimsleeptho— Rihanna (@rihanna) May 7, 2013
Chris soon after posted his own message that appears to appeal to RiRi.
Sometime loving someone is too much! So loving from a distance will help everyone grow! Be blessed. Live ya life!— Chris Brown(@chrisbrown) May 7, 2013
Speaking about the reported break up during a recent interview the Don't Wake Me Up star claimed he'd always love the Diamonds star but just couldn't be in a relationship with her.
When asked during an interview with the Kyle & Jackie O Show on Australian station 2DayFM how he'd spend the special day, he claimed he wanted "to really see as many girls as possible," for his birthday.
Clarifying whether he was in a relationship with Rihanna he explained: "I'm going to do it solo, at the end of the day, she's already doing her thing, she's on the road ... there's always going to be love, but I'm just going to do me. I'm a grown man.
"The way I look at it is, I'm always going to love that person, but people have differences, and people have different wants and needs, at the end of the day she's a young girl. I can't really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young, and I'm young too."

He went on: "I just got to step forward and be the man and be the best Chris Brown I can be instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket."
But after a nearly decade long affair, another insider claims it's far from being over between them.
“They ain’t never going to be done,” they added. ”They’re just coolin it right now. There’s always going to be love there. That will never change. But sometimes its better to take a break and get back to the basics.”
Oh the drama!
