American Idol will see the end of its current series on May 16th and the three finalists, Candice Glover, Kree Harrison and Angie Miller are all hoping to be crowned the winner of the series. It is now rumoured that Adam Lambert, Carly Rae Jepsen and Jennifer Hudson will all be returning to the show that made them famous to perform.
The show will be ending next week and there will be guest performances from many artists during the finale. According to The Hollywood Reporter Adam Lambert will be dueting with finalist Angie Miller in an attempt to crown her the winner of the show. Miller has performed her own song 'You Set Me Free' on the show already and has also been told she needs to have skin grafting surgery to help fix her ruptured ear drums, this has not stopped the singer performing.

Carly Rae Jepsen who was also a part of the show will be performing, and Jennifer Hudson is amongst the names rumoured to be taking to the stage, it is unknown whether they will be performing with the other contestants in duets or whether they'll be debuting their new singles for promotion. Carly Rae Jepsen's current single 'Tonight I'm Getting Over You' has recently seen the remix treatment and now features judge Nicki Minaj.

Former American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez is also rumoured to be returning for the finale episode of the show. Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips meanwhile has been confirmed for a spot to perform. Fifth place contestant Janelle Arthur is also set to be singing with The Band Perry and it has been reported Frankie Valli will also perform.
