Justin Bieber has just been confirmed as the latest celebrity set to jet off with Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic flight later this year, but the teen sensation won’t be the only star flying amongst the stars as some other famous faces have also booked themselves a place on the space flights which are reportedly starting later this year.

While Bieber will be sharing his out of space experience with his manager and close friend Scooter Braun, some other celebrities have also decided against making their astronaut debut alone.

Rumoured couples include the likes of Hollywood royalty Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and the most idolised couple in the music biz, Beyonce and Jay-Z, who allegedly want to record the very first music video on space. You can always count on those two to be original. Kate Winslet and husband Ned RockNRoll – nephew of Galactic founder Richard Branson – are also confirmed to have signed up for one of the first flights.

The flight to space was given to the couple, who were married last year, as a free wedding gift from Branson. The gift is also said to be a thank you from Branson after the Oscar-winning actress rescued his mother from certain death in a fire on the Virgin mogul’s private Necker Island in 2011.

Comedian Russell Brand will also be making an appearance on the Virgin Galactic flights, having secured a place back in 2011. Things could get potentially awkward however, as Brand’s ex-wife Katy Perry has also expressed an interest in getting a seat on board one of them - let's hope they book different days or things could get awkward.

Brand won’t be the only comedian set to blast into space though, as Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher has also been confirmed as the 500th passenger. Ashton has also become close friends with Dave Clark, boyfriend of Princess Beatrice, who happens to work in astronaut relations at Virgin Galactic. It has been heavily speculated that his girlfriend will be the first royal to flight out in to space, but nothing has been confirmed.

Heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio will be proving he really is out of this world - with one very lucky fan. The Great Gatsby star has agreed to travel on a Galactic flight with a fan in a bid to raise money for amfAR, the foundation for AIDS research. Despite the trip usually costing passengers a pocket-burning £130,000, organisers have dubbed a trip into space with Leo, “Priceless.”

Renowned scientist Stephen Hawking will also be making his astronaut debut after expressing to Richard Branson a desire to fly out into space: “My next goal is to go into space; maybe Richard Branson will help me," Branson posted the quote on his blog last year.

The SpaceShipTwo will have two pilots and will take six passengers to an altitude of 68 miles (109 km), from there they will be able to experience zero gravity and view the Earth from out of space.

Owner Richard Branson will take his family on the first trip later this year, whilst more flights are scheduled for 2014. With the 65,000 passenger waiting list, let’s just hope Bieber leaves his monkey at home.
