Jessie J has taken to Twitter to rubbish allegations BBC 1 showThe Voice has experienced a dramatic fall in viewers.

Reports claim that the first live show of the singing contest failed to interest the nation, and that despite 4.21 million people tuning in to watch which acts made it through to the semi-finals, by the results show which aired later in the evening, ratings had dropped to a lower 3.91 million.

BBC bosses had mixed things up in this year's show by extending the blind auditions, adding in a 'steal' element to the battle rounds and reducing the number of live shows. But it seems that the public haven't been impressed by their efforts.

However, coach Jessie J took to Twitter today to slam the rumours, claiming that the stories were just "bulls**t in the press."

"The lives begin and so does the bulls**t in the press. I hope you are all seeing how this works now. I certainly am. Lazy journalists! Should be called "gossip" or "lies" tonight coz boy I don't see any TRUE news!" Jessie ranted to her followers.

But it seems that the Price Tag hitmaker had soon moved on from dishing out her opinions, and was intead looking forward to performing at Capital FM's Summertime Ball tomorrow as she tweeted excitedly: "STB tomorrow! Going WILD at Wembley! Waaaah!"
