Skyfall star Ben Whishaw has dampened speculation that he will become the next Doctor Who following Matt Smith's exit, after claiming that you can't be Bond's Q, as well as the iconic Time Lord.
The 32-year-old insists that the rumour frenzy that has continuously linked him to the BBC role is far from the truth.
Whishaw made his first appearance as Q, taking over from John Cleese, in the latest Bond movie Skyfall, and with Bond 24 reportedly set for production, it's understandable that the British actor may want to keep his diary free.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Whishaw claims that he won't be taking on the role of Doctor Who: "It's not going to be me. But I don't mind - I don't think you can be Q and Doctor Who. It would be a bit wrong."
Matt Smith has announced that he will be leaving the role of the Doctor at the end of the year, and so far several names have been linked to the role - including another James Bond star, Rory Kinnear - who has been marked as a recent favourite.
