Kim Kardashian's mum Kris Jenner has defended the name picked by her daughter and boyfriend Kanye West, claiming she thinks 'North' is a sweet name during a recent TV interview.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star gave birth to her daughter on June 15, a reported five weeks early. It was claimed last week by TMZ the couple had chosen 'North' despite Kim publicly denying it was a name they were considering during an interview with Jay Leno in March.
Explaining the name during an appearance on The View, 'momager' Kris said: "I love the name North."
"I'm pro-North, absolutely. The way [Kim] explained it to me was that North means highest power, and she says that North is their highest point together. And I thought that was really sweet."
Yesterday it was revealed Kim and Kanye had sent "friends" different pictures of babies claiming to be their new arrival to see if anyone would sell the images on.
Sources close to the couple confirmed to EntertainmentWise the couple had cooked up the scheme to see who would shop the images to the media.

TMZ published two different photos of baby's that "friends," of the couple had attempted to sell them. Someone who's definitely got images of the baby is Grandma Jenner, but the TV star joked she would have to "kill," anyone who saw them during her interview on US TV.
"I'd have to kill you if I showed you my cell phone," she laughed.
