Departing Doctor Who star Matt Smith and Sherlock's Andrew Scott are set to appear alongside one another in a one-off play. The play named The Audience is a sequel to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - an on-going West End production.

However, Matt and Andrew aren't the only big names to have been added to the cast list as Ben Whishaw, who appeared in Hamlet will have a role in the play as Q - James Bond's gadget guru while 67-year-old Helen Mirren will play the role of the Queen - a role we think she's very familiar with now!

Jude Law has also been added to the line-up and theatre goers will see him star opposite Harry Treadaway whilst Matt Smith, Andrew Scott, Helen Mirren and Ben Whishaw will appear in scenes throughout.

According to the Radio Times, the play's director Simon Stephens said: "It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see all those people in the same story.

"I'm sure a lot of people have fantasied about what would happen if the Doctor did battle with Moriarty."

The Audience will be staged tonight at the Apollo Theatre, London.
