One Direction fans who attended their concert in San Jose last night were given a special treat last night as the boy band gifted them with the first ever live performance of their new single 'Best Song Ever.'
Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne left the hilarious alter-egos seen in the single's accompanying music video at home for their first performance of the song which has already made an impact on the charts this week, just narrowly missing out on a number one.
The boy band's audience were sent into a craze as they began singing the catchy number with Niall rocking out on his guitar. Harry, who sings lead on the track, tweeted shortly after the performance: “First time performing 'Best Song Ever' tonight.. Was a lot of fun. Thanks for having us San Jose. You were amazing.”

The music video sees the band show off their acting chops by taking on the characters of Hollywood big wigs, with Harry transformed into geeky Marcel, Niall and Louis playing big boss record executives, Liam as choreographer Leeroy and Zayn changing gender as Veronica the sexy assistant.
'Best Song Ever' debuted at number two on the UK charts this weekend, only being kept off the top spot by Avicii's monster hit 'Wake Me Up.'
