Katy Perry came out fighting with her first live rendition of Roar, which closed the MTV Video Music Awards in New York on Sunday night.
The hit-maker finished the show with a bang as she performed against the stunning backdrop of the famous Brooklyn Bridge, in front of a crowd of lucky fans.
Katy rode into her makeshift venue on the back of a golden semitruck, with her name, album title and release date painted on the side.
Performing inside a boxing ring, Katy wore shorts, knee length sports socks and a leopard crop top for her big rendition of her new single, which has already proved to be her biggest hit to date.
Game over Gaga! Katy Perry wows with her first performance of Roar (WENN)
Performing with sweat drenched dancers, the star showed off her fighting moves before ending her performance in a champion's stance while holding up signs reading "Game Over." We wonder if that was a reference to her recent chart battle with Lady Gaga?
Earlier in the evening Katy wowed on the red carpet in a provocative, leopard print dress and a $1,000 diamond grill designed by celebrity jewellery maker Paul Wall.
