Courtney Love is never one to shy away from speaking her mind but some may be surprised to hear her latest comments about Katy Perry, who she has blasted as “boring” and admits that she prefers the rocknroll soul of Miley Cyrus.
The 49-year-old performed a set at the Dream Downtown in New York City on Monday night and it seems she had a lot to get off her chest about the current state of music and lashed out at a number of artists including Katy Perry and Robin Thicke both of whom she clearly isn't a fan of.

“I liked Miley, frankly. I’m gonna be honest, Katy Perry bores the [bleep] out of me,” Courtney reportedly told the audience according to the New York Post's Page Six.
“She’s a nice girl, she just really bores me. You know, that hillbilly Miley Cyrus is sort of punk in a weird sex way.”
Robin Thicke may have scored the biggest hit of the summer with his infectious number 'Blurred Lines' but Courtney reveals she isn't convinced by his sudden rise to fame, telling the crowd: “Can someone inform me who Alan Thicke’s son is? Like what? Wasn’t [he on] ‘Charles in Charge’? That’s like Jared Leto trying to convince me he’s a rock star.”

After reeling out her hits during the set, Courtney later elaborated on her comments after the show telling the publication: “[Perry] bores me. [Miley] was at least kind of punk rock, you know? It was openly sexual . . . like dark and hillbilly and [bleeped] up.”
