'You Should F**k Off': Josh Homme Blasts Jay Z's Security For Frisking Band Members At Made In America Festival

Josh Homme has admitted that he threatened to cancel Queens of the Stone Age's performance at last month's Made In America festival after Jay Z's security searched the band's bags, something which he clearly didn't appreciate.

The 'No One Knows' rockers were among a bevy of stars on the line-up including Beyonce, Calvin Harris, Emeli Sande and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who all took part in the three-event in Philadelphia organised by curator Jay Z, however, it seems the big boss annoyed the band when they arrived at the venue only to be frisked and patted down by the hip-hop mogul's extensive security team.

“That guy's a kook, you know. He has his security frisking the bands on the way in...,” Homme told Canada's CBC Radio 2 in reference to Jay Z.

“I just told (the security guard) 'If you open up my bag, then we're not playing, so I guess it's up to you now to decide whether I'm playing or not'... You shouldn't frisk my guys, you should f**k off.”

Homme also revealed his fury at being asked to pose with photos of champagne brand Ace of Spades which is said to have been endorsed by Jay Z in the past, allegedly earning him millions and contributing to his growing empire.

“I was like, 'That's not a gift - that's a marketing tool.' I destroyed it, because I thought it was rude overall,” Homme fumed.

Queens of the Stone Age did go ahead with their performance at MIA and treated the audience to tracks from their latest album '…Like Clockwork,' which earned the band their first ever number one album in the US when it was released in June.
