Claims that long-time BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are at war over a potential movie role have been shot down.
The former Disney co-horts were thought to both be in line to star in a biopic about singer Linda Ronstadt, who has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Gomez and Lovato - who have previously both acted on their own Disney Channel TV shows - were reported by the National Enquirer to be "viciously duking it out" for the role, but apparently a biopic on Ronstadt isn't even in the works at all.

A source had told the US tabloid: "Linda was one of the greatest singers of her generation. Her life story is mesmerising.
"It's a dream role with Oscar potential. Selena and Demi are both crazy for the part, and claws are being bared!"
However, speaking to Gossip Cop, a separeate source close to Demi has said that there is "nothing" to the story.
Demi is only just making her return to acting following her stint in rehab three years ago. She'll be starring as Naya Rivera's love interest in the upcoming fifth season of Glee, which kicks off on US network Fox over the coming weeks.
As for Selena, she's been seen in the controversial and decidedly un-Disney Spring Breakers this year, and also appeared in the critical and commercial flop Getaway, alongside Ethan Hawke.
