Ellen DeGeneres has been named the 'most likeable woman in Hollywood' in a radio poll impressively beating off competition from Jennifer Lawrence.

The charismatic star received a whopping 35.1 percent of the vote, beating  Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence, who only achieved 17.7 percent, and Gangster Squad star Emma Stone, who only managed 13.4 percent.

In fourth place was Jennifer Hudson with 12.5 percent, followed by Natalie Portman(10.2%), Zooey Deschanel (8.5%), and Anna Kendrick (2.6%).

The survey was conducted by iHeartRadio, an internet radio station which broadcasts across the United States online via on mobile phones and select video games consoles.

It's not a surprise that Ellen has been named as a favourite with the public as the comedian is already a popular figure in the U.S, having her own chat show, appearing as a judge on American Idol in it's ninth season and hosting both the Academy Awards and the Primetime Emmys.

Ellen must be glad to have bagged this prize, especially as JLaw has had such a phenomenal year, bagging Best Actress at the Oscars as well as becoming a viral hit, over and over again.

The Christian Dior beauty not only fell up the stairs when going to collect her award, she was later seen flipping the bird at her pals, and crushing on Jack Nicholoson, all of which won over a huge fanbase.

Her Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle director David O. Russell: “She grew up with these two older brothers, so she will do an off-color joke that will shock you and make you laugh so hard. And then she just moves on."
