Jennifer Lawrence took home her first Oscar this year for Best Actress in Silver Linings Playbook, but in a new interview the blonde has admitted her big night was almost ruined after a guest attacked her for stuttering in her acceptance speech branding her an "idiot" for not "owning the stage".
It was the second time the actress, who was the darling of the award season this year and expected to take home the golden statue, had been nominated for the award but despite being the favourite it seems getting the accolade was all too much for her as she not only fell on her way up to the stage but then stuttered through her acceptance speech.

Revealing to Harper's Bazaar one critical member of the audience afterwards slammed her moment for not being Hollywood enough, she recalled: "[The other person said] other people are getting up and owning the stage and you sound like a stuttering idiot. Pull it together.
"I said, 'I'm not doing it on purpose, I'm uncomfortable and when people get uncomfortable they resort to their s**t'. I make awkward jokes and stutter," she claimed.
"That was actually a moment when I really wanted it to be special. That was not the time I wanted to be the Down-home Girl. I wanted to be graceful."

Despite her success, not only critically but in the smash hit The Hunger Games as well, Jennifer has always insisted she's no cookie-cutter Hollywood star and in the same interview revealed she still feels sensitive about her appearance.
"They thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn't still hurt me. That somehow, after I won an Oscar, I'm above it all. 'You really still care about that?' Yeah," she said about weight jibes.
"I was a little girl. I was hurt," she went on. "It doesn't matter what accolades you get. I know it'll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the word 'diet', I'm like, 'You can go f**k yourself.'"
