The X Factor USA is hotting up. With the auditions over, it was time for the judges - Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland - and the acts to move into the bootcamp stage where the judges were given the difficult task of just choosing four acts for their category to take through the next stage.
And as the judges each took their turn to pick who they wanted, the time soon came for 13 year-old Rion Paige to perform for her mentor Demi. And perform she did as she received a rapturous round of applause when she finished singing her rendition of the Rascal Flatts' I Won't Let Go.
Praising Rion on her voice, Kelly told the young rising star: "Rion, I love your voice. I love how happy and excited you are when you sing. I just love watching you.”

Equally impressed was Simon Cowell who added: "Well, Rion, when you’ve got it, you got it, right? And I really, really like your voice. And I think we’re scratching the surface here.”
As the camera panned to Demi, Paige didn't have to worry about whether or not she had done enough to get through as Demi commented: "You’re only 13 and you have such a mature voice coming out of you. And you know, when I look at you, I don’t see anything different.
“Rion, you are an incredibly special girl. I can’t let you go."
Having declared that she couldn't risk losing Rion, Demi decided to give Rion and place in her final four instead of Ashley, whose departure caused boos from the audience.
