Katie Hopkins succeeded once again in outraging the public earlier this week when she labelled X Factor winner Sam Bailey a "fat mum in a jumpsuit" - and now, speaking to EntertainmentWise, the singer has responded.
Sam, who is currently on course to ace the Christmas No1 battle with her winner's single, a cover of Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper', told us that she won't be bought down by the harsh comment.
"I wouldn't even come back at it," she said earlier today. "It's not in my nature to do that."

"If [Hopkins] wants to go round slating people then that's her prerogative; if that's what she likes doing then that's fine. It's not gonna bring me down."
We also asked the 36-year-old former prison warden if she reckons her relationship with mentor Sharon Osbourne will stay strong now the talent competition has come to an end.
"She's always at the end of the phone," Sam insisted. "We've text eachother quite a bit over the last couple of days... She's with her family, we're gonna catch up soon.
"I'm so grateful to her for what she's done for me."

We also spoke to Sam about the Susan Boyle comparisons, her battle for Christmas No.1 and her sharp rise into the public eye after 20 years of trying.
