Brad Pitt showed off his new haircut on the red carpet at the Producer's Guild Awards last night and with the actor getting mixed reviews over his latest 'do, he has spoken out about why he made the cut, saying that it is for a new part that he's playing in an upcoming movie.
The 50-year-old has said that he didn't chop off those famous locks of his for aesthetic reasons, telling E! News that he was made to have his hair cut for a role.
"It's for a part," Pitt told the website at the Beverly Hills event, adding with a laugh: "It's not a choice!"

Meanwhile, Pitt and his other half Angelina Jolie have been surrounded by rumours suggesting that they're going to adopt another child recently.
The engaged pair already have six children together, three of which are adopted - adopted trio Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, and Zahara, nine, and biological kids Shiloh, seven, and Knox and Vivienne, five - but now it's been reported by Grazia magazine that Brad and Angelina are getting broody and want to adopt a little girl.
