Robert Pattinson’s breakup with Kristen Stewart may have shattered the hearts of millions of teenage Twihards, but it appears to have given the actor’s career a boost. Rob, who split with his Twilight co-star last year, is hard at work shooting the movie Life, a biopic about the magazine photographer assigned to photograph actor James Dean.
Robert, who is currently filming in Toronto, may even be on his way to an Academy Award, according to a just-released list of 2015 Oscar nomination predictions.

The Playlist has included Rob as a potential contender for a Best Supporting Actor nomination, mentioning that fans should “keep an eye out” for his performance. While Rob garnered a lot of buzz for his role in the 2011 film Water For Elephants, this is the first time that the 27 year-old has taken a role that might earn him a coveted gold Oscar statue.
Since his split with Kristen, the movie roles have been pouring in. Rob will next star in The Rover, which is scheduled to be released in July. In addition, he will also have roles in the films Map to the Stars (due out sometime this year), Mission Blacklist, Queen of the Desert and The Childhood of a Leader.
Kristen is also busy at work. She is currently filming the movie Still Alice in New York City.
