A few years ago Kelly Brook was brought onto the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel, but famously dropped a few days later. Looking back at that time, Kelly is glad to be away from the drama, insisting she was sacked because she didn’t want to play 'their game'.
Speaking to Fabulous magazine, the model said: “I've got no regrets. Maybe it's a case of 'more fool me' because I don't want to play their game. I don't need to compromise what I stand for. It didn't work and, you know what? I'm actually quite flattered that it didn't because that says something about me.
“The whole thing is a circus and I don't want my life to be like that. I'm quite straightforward. I've got enough drama in my life without having to deal with Simon Cowell's as well! I don't want it. I've got no interest in it.
“And anyway, the only reason I joined was because Simon persuaded me to do it. Just like he seems to do with everyone! He's very, very persuasive. I never pursued that job and I could have told him from the start that all of that would happen.”
Kelly is skeptical as to why Simon has added Alesha Dixon onto the new BGT judging panel, saying: “I don't doubt for a second that Simon deliberately stole her from Strictly. I wish Alesha all the best - it's a fantastic opportunity. But I thought she was great on Strictly and, personally, if I'd been a Strictly judge there's nothing that would have taken me from that job. Strictly is the most fantastic, lovely show with a very loyal following and it's... classy."
