Bobby Brown and the Houston clan got into a dispute over seating arrangements, which saw him being asked to leave Whitney's funeral...

Bobby Brown, according to TMZ, arrived at the funeral of his ex-wife with an entourage of nine people (as opposed to the afore-planned two) and found that the church could not seat his whole party.

Reverend Al Sharpton has, however, defended Bobby's actions, asking people to think twice before criticising him:

"He showed nothing but love and respect for Whitney. I wish people would leave Bobby alone."

It has also been revealed that Brown was refused the opportunity to sit with his daughter during the ceremony, which was the main reason he decided to leave the service early.

Bobby Brown issued the following statement to the press explaining his actions:

"My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions... I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene."

It wouldn't be a celebrity funeral without a little bit of controversy, we suppose...
