Dame Judi Dench has been killed off in the latest James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’.
The veteran actress has already filmed the death scene for her iconic character ‘M’ which is being killed off after eight movies.
Judi Dench made her first appearance in 1995 opposite Pierce Brosnan in ‘Goldeneye’ and has been a firm fan favourite ever since. But it seems it is time for the 77 year-old to move in.
An insider told movie website Best For Film: “We’ve just filmed M’s death scene. "Judi Dench is leaving the franchise.”
It is believed that Ralph Finnes will be replacing the legendary actress in the roll of ‘M’ although he stayed tight-lipped about his character when speaking to the Daily Mail earlier this year.
"I'm allowed to say that I'm a government agent.” He said.
But he was far more forthcoming about his love for the franchise and sounds like if he is ‘M’ then he is here to stay.
"I used to be a complete nerd about the books and the detail in them,” he explained.
“They are fantastic. There was Fleming's obsession with different kinds of champagne and caviar. He kind of fetishes these things.”
Look out Daniel Craig he could be after your job next!
'Skyfall' will hit cinemas this autumn.
