Lily Cole: What is Perfection?

The model wipes away her make-up in a powerful campaign...

Lily Cole is a high-profile model, renowned for her refined looks, gorgeous red hair and elegant figure.

But the young beauty has revealed that she doesn't believe in perfection and, to prove it, removed her make-up for the camera as she talked openly and intelligently about the pressures of fame.

The video, which was filmed for the New Thinkers Index,  allowed Cole to shows off her intellectual side as she explains her theory on the idea of perfection.

And it's easy to see that the first-class honours student has a great deal to share on the topic.

"I absolutely don't believe in perfection, I don't believe it exists and I don't believe it's necessarily interesting... I've put myself under a lot of pressure in the past, too skinny or too fat or in terms of intellectual pursuits or career pursuits. I've come recently to realise it can be quite a destructive way to live life."

And, using the knowledge she gleaned from her History of Art  degree, the model talked about the paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci in order to further demonstrate her point.

Do you think the video does what it sets out to achieve?
