Colin Firth and Cate Blanchett are reported to be taking the lead in Barbra Streisand's new period romance, 'Skinny And Cat'.
'The King's Speech' actor will be starring alongside 'The Lord Of The Rings' actress in the period movie, which will be directed by Barbra Streisand.
Describe as an "epic love story", 'Skinny And Cat' is set to depict the real-life romance of writer Erskine Caldwell and photojournalist Margaret Bourke White. The pair pooled their creative talents together and collaborated on three books together, falling headfirst in love at the same time.
However don't expect a happily ever after from THIS period romance, as the pair famously divorced a few years after they finished working together.
Oscar-winner Colin Firth will be taking on the role of Erskine, according to Showbiz 411, while Cate Blanchett (who also bagged an Oscar for her role in 'The Aviator') will play his love interest.
We can't wait to see the on-screen chemistry between these two legendary actors!
The film marks Streisand's first time back behind the camera in 16 years, although we're expecting some pretty amazing things - after all, she bagged the Oscar for Best Director after her work on classic movie 'Yentl'.
Three Oscar-winners, one great script and plenty of anticipation; expect to hear a lot about this upcoming movie project before filming begins in 2013.
We wouldn't be surprised if 'Skinny And Cat' became a hot contender for an Oscar itself...
