Speculation was rife yesterday that X-Files co-stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were dating following her split from her long term boyfriend.
However according to Celebuzz, Duchovny's publicist unequivocally denied the story, contradicting reports from gossip website CelebDirtyLaundry.com that the pair had been "in a serious relationship for some time now".
Yet despite not being romantically involved with Anderson, Duchovny is very keen to work with her again, and really wants there to be a new movie. The most recent of two films already made, 'I Want To Believe', was released in 2008.
He told Collider: "That book doesn't close until somebody dies, really. One of the greatnesses of the show was its open-endedness. It was about possibility. It wasn't about closure. It just couldn't be. There is no such thing as that story ever ending. Those characters are forever searching. That's what they do. Even if we're not watching them, they're out there, in some dimension."
So, while the pair might not be lovers, it seems that the truth is still out there, and they're keen to find it!
