Actress Antonia Campbell-Hughes Reveals Shocking Weight Loss

Star looked shockingly thin, but it's all for her art

The actress playing Austrian kidnap victim Natascha Kampusch in a new movie about her ordeal at the hands of her captor Wolfgang Prikopil, revealed her stunning weight loss while attending the opening film of the London Film Festival, Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie'.

The Northern Irish actress, who appeared in the Lead Balloon TV series, and has never been the meatiest actress in the world anyway, was all skin and bone. However the drastic loss in weight is believed to be as a result of her role in '3096', named for the number of days Kampusch was held prisoner.

About the film Antonia has told The Evening Standard: "The one thing that I have been adamant about is that I am playing a character in a script,” adding: "It’s not a biopic or a case study. But playing someone real, you feel you have to give a bit more. There was an understanding from the beginning that I would suffer as much as she did.”

Others who've recently shed the pounds for movie roles include Matthew Mcconaughey, who has cast aside his normally buff physique to play a man with AIDS in 'Dallers Buyers Club'.

We just hope Antonia isn't suffering too much, and can get back to her normal diet and figure as soon as filming's over, all ready for the release of a movie that it looks like she's put her heart and soul into.
