Did Selena Gomez Inspire Taylor Swift To Date Conor Kennedy?

The country singer apparently went to her showbiz pal for 'advice on how to date a younger man'

We're used to Taylor Swift dating older guys, so her new boyf Conor Kennedy was a shock to us all! However, it seems like the country star did her research before she dated a younger man and went to showbiz pal Selena Gomez for advice...

Selena's obviously taken the right route to success with long-term superstar boyf Justin Bieber and Taylor wanted to have the same relationship success...and who can blame her??

Speaking out about love and life in general to Rolling Stone magazine, the 'Love Story' hitmaker said: “You have to make it work by prioritising it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard,"

"If I think too hard about a relationship I'll talk myself out of it.”

“I have rules for a lot of areas of my life. Love is not going to be one of them."

"The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard. You have to forget about what everyone else thinks. It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality."

And although the country star has kept her latest romance on the 'down low', the magazine went on to ask Taylor whether Selena and Justin's successful romance was anything to do with her latest conquest, to which she simply said: "Probably"

Wise words, Tay!

And even though she may be enjoying being the older woman, she's not so sure about all the rumours making out that she has been using any cougar type charms on him.

"How did I kidnap him?" she asked when questioned about the reports that she made him come to visit her after sending her private jet to pick him up.

"You can't kidnap a grown man! These are serious accusations, now," she added, laughing. "It's an interesting way to spin something into a story. See, this is why I don't read stuff."

Aaah, we believe you Taylor...
