Miley Cyrus has revealed why she decided to say no to star as a judge on this new season of The X Factor USA, leaving Demi Lovato and Britney Spears to take up the role as the new judges alongside LA Reid and Simon Cowell.
The 19-year-old was offered a seat on the panel, according to the teen, but she thought she would be too critical. Talking about her reasons, Miley told Jay Leno on his The Tonight Show.
"I just don't know if I want to be some dream crusher. Would you really want to sit there as someone is belting their heart out - even if it is like hearing nails on a chalkboard - and then say to them, 'You suck?'"
Miley also added: "I have no filter, so I would be scared I would say something and they would go home and say, 'Miley Cyrus ruined my dreams'. It seems harsh.”
But Miley did recently say yes to starring on Two And A Half Men alongside Ashton Kutcher and Angus T Jones. Talking about her recent appearance where she had to kiss Angus she said it was “weird”.
“It was kind of weird, because when I’m doing it, the prop guys and all these people are live, ‘Do you have your ring on?’ And I’m like ‘Ugh. This feels weird,’ like taking off my ring to make out with Angus. It’s creepy, it kind of felt a little weird at first.”
