Princess Leia Set For 'Star Wars' Return After Carrie Fisher Confirms Interest

Will she be donning her gold bikini?

Now that Disney has announced that there'll be a seventh 'Star Wars' movie the stars of the original trilogy are reportedly queuing up to take part.

Yesterday it was Harrison Ford who wanted to return to the iconic sci-fi franchise, although that may be because he wants to kill off his character Han Solo.

Now Princess Leia could be set for a return as Carrie Fisher has apparently admitted that she'd love to reprise her role.

According to the gossip website the actress said: "Yes. Sure. Wouldn't you?" when asked about whether she'd like to resume her role as the Princess sister of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and lover of Han Solo.

Although Carrie may not quite be in the shape that made her the girl of every sci-fi geeks dreams in the 1980s due to her costume of a skimpy gold bikini, it would certainly be interesting to see the outspoken actress in any new movie, especially if she resumes her on screen rapport with Ford.

It also makes sense in terms of the 'Star Wars' timeline as the seventh film is rumoured to be set after 'Return of The Jedi', the last 'Star Wars' film that featured the original cast.

Since starring as Leia, Fisher has spoken publicly about her addiction to drugs and drink, including while filming 'Star Wars', she's also spoken out about having bipolar disorder and famously called her autobiography 'Wishful Drinking'.
