Yesterday we reported that The Only Way is Essex is making its way to our screens for a live episode but what do the cast think of the (potentially) car crash TV?

Sam Faiers, Joey Essex, Mario Falcone and Jess Wright, are all confirmed for the live show and some familiar faces (Amy Childs!) are rumoured to be returning too.

TOWIE star Joey Essex took to twitter to express his excitement: “LIVE episode of Towie in December!!! #creepySICK”.

Jessica Wright also tweeted: “Shut the front doooor there's going to be a LIVE towie ep in december ahhhhhh who's excited? @OnlyWayIsEssex @itv2”."

Sam Faiers gushed of the news: 'I'm really excited but so so nervous! It's going to be an amazing experience. Who knows what will happen... especially in Essex!'

We’re used to seeing the edited version of the hit show The Only Way is Essex so how will the Essex stars cope without the editing?

Mario Falcone expressed some doubts whether all would go to plan: “We'll be completely out of our comfort zone so it will be really scary but I'll be well excited!”

The reaction from the fans has been a mixture of excitement and all out “SHADDUP” disbelief!

One fan tweeted: “Ohhhh super excited for #TOWIE live Xmas episode! What a brilliant idea! Director? Whoever? Fab idea! Can't waittttttt!@_OnlyWayIsEssex”.

Another more cynical tweeter said: “A live episode of #towie? Asking for trouble!”

Bring on the trouble we say! The live episode is set to be between a pre-Christmas episode and a festival special.

Is everyone excited about TOWIE going live or are they asking for trouble? Do you agree with Joey, is it #creepySICK? (whatever that means…)
