Channel 5 Reveal Plans To Honour Larry Hagman's Career

Fans of veteran actor Larry Hagman are still reeling after the sad news of his death broke this morning. The 81 year-old was mid-way through filming the second season of popular Channel 5 documentary Dallas.

Channel 5 bosses have revealed plans to honour the actor's formidable career with an exclusive 30 minute programme: A Tribute to Larry Hagman: At Home With JR. The show will air at 9pm tomorrow.

Richard Desmond, Chairman of Northern & Shell (owners of Channel 5) issued a statement regarding the acting legend's passing:

"I am very sad to hear the news that Larry Hagman has died. He was the ultimate professional and a very good guy who I had the privilege of meeting a number of times, most recently when he, Linda and Patrick came to London to help launch Dallas on Channel 5. He was very funny and made us all laugh. This is a very sad day for his family, friends and fans."

Channel 5, broadcaster of Dallas, added: “We were very saddened to hear today's news about Larry Hagman and we send our condolences to his family and friends.”
