Rihanna Loses Out On 'Fast And Furious' Movie Role To Rita Ora?

But 'watch' how Jay-Z reacts

They may be managed by the same record label mogul Jay-Z, but Rihanna and Rita Ora will always be rivals when it comes to their career in the music spotlight.

And it looks like Bajan beauty Rihanna, whose new album Unapologetic has stormed to the number one spot on the UK album chart this week, will be furious when she finds out that singing rival Rita Ora has bagged a film role that she had been earmarked for.

21-year-old 'Hot Right Now' hitmaker Rita Ora, who has bagged three consecutive UK number ones in the past year, will be starring in Supercars alongside actors Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

A source said: “Rihanna impressed movie bosses with her role in Battleship. But schedules didn’t work out and Rita really shone during castings. They loved her look and her attitude.”

RiRi thought Rita's 'copying' was kind of 'sweet' before she stole her movie role - Splash

Apparently RiRi thought it was kind of cute when Rita Ora emerged on the scene looking like a mini version of herself with her quirky sportswear, eccentric stage outfits and slick of red lipstick – but now it’s just getting on her nerves.

A source said: “At first Rihanna thought Rita’s ‘copycat’ act was sweet. But she kicked off after seeing the red dress Rita wore to the VMAs. The umbrella prop annoyed her too,’’ The Sun reports.

But despite Rihanna being cheesed off with the news, her boss Jay-Z is a happy larry, even rewarding the ‘R.I.P’ songstress with a personalised Rolex watch worth around £30,000.

Better luck next time, RiRi!
