POLL: As The X Factor Final Approaches, Who Is The Best Ever Winner?

From Steve to Little Mix, everyone has a fave

By On

In two days time, there will be a brand new SyCo record contract with either Jahmene Douglas, Christopher Maloney or James Arthur's signature at the bottom of it.

But before that, it's time to look back over the previous eight winners and decide which is your all-time favourite.

They haven't all achieved the same levels of worldwide success, but each has their own dedicated fanbase.

And don't let the frequent "flop" tags fool you - both Joe McElderry and Matt Cardle's recent albums outsold the last effort from Alexandra Burke, and Joe's 2011 opus Classic is even comfortably ahead of Leona Lewis' recent release Glassheart in sales figures.

So, will it be Sharon Osbourne's arch nemesis Steve Brookstein? 'If That's OK With You' falsetto-flaunting pin-up Shayne Ward? Powerhouse belter Leona Lewis? The often-forgotten Leon Jackson? Maybe Cheryl Cole's first champ, Alexandra Burke?

Coming into more recent years, perhaps Geordie Joe is your ultimate fave, or the one-time hat-botherer Matt Cardle? What about the first ever group winners, Little Mix?

It's a toughie - vote below.
