Carly Rae Jepsen has defended her buddy Justin Bieber over his Grammy Award snub and says he shouldn't worry about it as his talent speaks for itself.

The 'Call Me Maybe' singer received two nominations for Best Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her debut single, but Justin, who is also managed by Carly's manager Scooter Braun, failed to receive a single nomination.

As expected, Justin's fans were up in arms over the snub and Scooter launched a Twitter attack at the Grammy board for failing to acknowledge Justin's achievements over the last year, which includes a sold-out world tour, number one album and several top 10 singles. Sticking up for her buddy, Carly Rae says Justin doesn't need a Grammy Award to prove his talents.

"Yeah, Justin's an extremely talented guy and one of the hardest working people that I know in the business," Carly told Capital FM.

"No, I haven't talked to him about it. I know that the way he handles most things is just to keep on going and he's got a really strong following so I don't think he has anything to worry about," he continued.

Justin also addressed the controversy recently, tweeting that he only cares about the support of his fans.

"Thank you to all of my beautiful fans out there. I don’t need a Grammy to have your love. You guys are still so incredible," Justin said during an interview with Z100.

The 18-year-old then reiterated his sentiment on Twitter later that evening, telling his 31 million followers: "And i met what i said at the end. finally answered about the grammys. I got you guys. that is all i need. Im all good (sic)."
