Britney Spears and fiancée Jason Trawick are ready to dispel rumours of an imminent split by 'renewing' their relationship over the Christmas holidays.
The pair are yet to confirm a wedding date despite getting engaged last year and are reportedly determined to get their relationship back on an even keel following rumours of heated arguments behind closed doors.
“I think they may have some things to work out, but I'm convinced they will keep it together,” a source told the Chicago Sun-Times. “I know they are going on a Christmas vacation and hopefully will come back with their relationship renewed.”
Former talent agent Trawick is understood to have been a stabilizing influence in Britney's life following her high profile breakdown in 2008. Earlier this year he was named as one of her co-conservators – giving him power to oversee the singer's personal and professional affairs – but insiders claim he is privately convinced their relationship will not last.
According to one, the couple were forced to postpone plans for a winter wedding following a string of volatile arguments.
“Britney and Jason had planned to get married at the end of December, but they have been fighting non-stop so the wedding has now been called off. They are telling their friends it's being postponed, but they will probably never make it down the aisle.”
The singer is raking in a reported $15 million salary for her current judging stint on the US version of 'The X Factor' alongside Demi Lovato, LA Reid and Simon Cowell.
Fans can also expect new music from Britney in 2013. The star is said to be preparing an imminent return to the studio for work on her eighth album.
