Strictly Come Dancing's Mr Nasty has his claws out again and this time it's Denise Van Outen who has been caught in his firing line.
47-year-old judge Craig Revel Horwood told the Daily Star newspaper that the former Capital FM breakfast show host is unlikely to win in the final this evening.
Despite his pessimism Craig maintains he is a fan of the mother-of-one, 38, saying: "I love Denise. I think she is the all-rounder in the competition but the audience are just not voting for her."
Denise who has been in the bottom two of the hit BBC1 show for the last two weeks has "tough critics" said Craig.
"Why? Maybe they think she is just too good and they would prefer an underdog to win. She need's to get out there this week and canvas for votes like a politician."
The mother of two-year-old Betsy, Denise has faced a backlash from critics since she joined the show.
It seems audiences feel she has an unfair advantage because of her theatrical background.
“I went to a dance school when I was a child to do ballet, tap and modern, but I haven’t danced since then. I have never partner-danced in my life.
“It is a rule on Strictly that you are not allowed to take part if you have had any previous Latin or ballroom lessons. They are very strict about that.”
She added: “As for people who think I danced all the way through Chicago, well, if they had seen the show, they’d know I played Roxie Hart, who doesn’t have the dancing part, she just does one number at the end with a hat and cane."
Clearly keen to stay positive Denise tweeted her excitment for tonights show: "On my way to BBC for Strictly final preparations. Can't believe its the last day!"
