If handing out a $5 million recording contract wasn't enough for Simon Cowell, it has now been reported that the media mogul gave former X Factor USA judge and his pal L.A. Reid a cool $20,000.
The reason? Well it was all down to a bet!
According to GossipCop, the judges put a bet on over who would win the title of winner at the end of the second season of the popular show, and sadly for Simon, L.A. won when his act Tate Stevens was crowned winner.

Based on the bet that was made between the two men last year, a source told the site:
"It was a double or quits bet from last year."
However, we don't think Simon will feel too bad about handing over the money after he gushed about how much he is going to miss L.A. from the panel.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Simon said:
"On a personal level, I'm going to miss LA Reid. On a business level, I'm also going to miss him."
