The Christmas special of Downton Abbey looks set to be a corker following the revelation by actress Lily James that her character Lady Rose, will be seen getting flirty with the men folk.
With the Grantham family leaving Downton Abbey to spend the festive holidays in Scotland with their relatives, it won't take long for tensions to arise as a result of Lady Mary's controversial affair with Terence Margadale.
Speaking about her character, the Mirror reports Lily saying:
"Then the Crawleys arrive at Duneagle, Rose is delighted to have some company and a bit of excitement."

With a ball set to take place, Lily adds that Lady Rose will have a fun time...
The actress adds:
“Rose turns up to the ball wearing a risqué dress and there are lots of men for her to flirt with. It was great fun learning to do traditional ceilidhs such as Strip The Willow, but it was very hard too.”
The festive special which will air on ITV1 on Christmas day will also introduce new maid Edna Braithwaite. Speaking of her arrival into the show, actress MyAnna said to the publication recently:
"Edna is a dreamer with ideas well above her station. She takes a shine to Branson, but he is still grieving for Lady Sybil and isn’t prepared for that kind of attention yet.
“I’m a huge fan of Downton Abbey, so when I got the call asking if I would be in the Christmas special, it was a no-brainer for me.”
