Katherine Jenkins has revealed that she still stands by the decision she made to publicly address her rumoured affair with David Beckham.
The Welsh singer was romantically linked to the former LA Galaxy player back in October and hit out at the claims via Twitter after being bomabarded with tweets.
At the time she tweeted: “Dear Twitter friends, I’ve read some horrible rumours on here & want u 2 know I absolutely deny I’ve had an affair with David Beckham."
Despite many criticising the Dancing With The Stars contestant for bringing more publicity to the rumours largely restricted to Twitter, Katherine has revealed in a new interview that after receiving death threats and excessive volumes tweets, she felt pressured into clearing her name.
Speaking to Fabulous magazine she said: "I was getting maybe five tweets a minute. It got to the point where my friends were being asked about it in the street and I was getting death threats. People tweeted that if it was true they were going to kill me.
"My PR spoke to their people and I think everybody is happy with the way it was handled so...who knows?" she added.
Before the 32-year-old admitted it is now time to move on from it all, adding: "It is what it is and it would be nice if we could all just put it to rest."
