Jennifer Metcalfe All Smiles Amidst Sylvain Longchambon Split Rumours Over DOI Star Samia Ghadie

The actress looked happy as she was spotted out

Following the rumours that Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has been left "devastated" after her boyfriend and Dancing On Ice skater, Sylvain Longchambon reportedly dumped her after "developing feelings" for DOI partner and actress Samia Ghadie, we would have thought that Jennifer would be feeling less than chirpy.

But it appears we were wrong as the actress who plays Mercedes McQueen in the hit Channel 4 soap, was feeling pretty chirpy after she was spotted looking happy and relaxed as she made her way to Whitley Bay Playhouse where she is playing the role of Cinderella in pantomime.

Dressed for the weather, Jennifer looked comfy in a black onesie which she accessorised with a chunky beige hat and aviator sunglasses. The star was also seen clutching onto her phone as she walked into the Playhouse.

Of the allegations revealed earlier today, the Mirror reported a source saying:

"Jen has been working really hard for the last few weeks performing sometimes twice a day. She knew Sylvain and Samia were getting close but she never thought for one moment anything would happen.

“When Sylvain first admitted he had real feelings for Samia, she was gutted. It’s been a difficult time but she thought it would pass. She has been putting on a brave face for the audiences... he is a consummate professional. But she feels betrayed by both of them.”

However, Jennifer's smile could be a result of the reports not necessarily being true after a source close to Samia, who has split from her boyfriend and actor Will Thorp told the publication:

"Nothing has happened between her and Sylvain. She hasn’t even seen him for three weeks. “Sylvain and Samia and are not at a relationship stage. It’s just a friendship. Her split from Will is nothing to do with this.”

An ITV insider added: “Sylvain says he is not seeing Samia."
